Snapchat: My AI
Snapchat My AI is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot available within Snapchat. It allows users to ask questions and receive instant responses within a chat conversation. My AI can provide suggestions, answer general knowledge questions, and help with everyday planning or ideas.
The feature is powered by large language models developed by companies including OpenAI and Google. While Snapchat has introduced additional safety controls, My AI may sometimes provide responses that are inaccurate, biased, outdated or inappropriate. As with any AI tool, users should avoid sharing personal or sensitive information and should independently check important advice or information.
Snapchat users can provide feedback on My AI’s responses by long-pressing a message within the chat.

Parental Controls
In Snapchats Family Centre, you can choose whether My AI replies to your teen. Follow the steps below if you want to disable My AI for your teen.
- Open Family Centre
- Scroll to Settings at the bottom of the page, then tap to expand
- Turn on the toggle to Disable My AI
When this setting is on, My AI will not store or process your teen’s queries, nor reply to your teen’s messages.
