Vigin Media TV

Virgin Media TV is a digital pay cable television service in the UK. In April 2022, Virgin Media released an all-in-one streaming TV box called ‘Stream’, which contains free channels, apps and subscriptions.

On Virgin Media TV, PIN protection is automatically requested based on the ratings given for the show or movie, and the time of day you are streaming. Information on how to set up the PIN can be found here.

  • When first setting up the box, the Virgin Media default PIN will be set as 1234, which will need to be entered to watch the following:

    1. Programmes rated 12, before 8pm
    2. Programmes rated 15, before 9pm
    3. Programmes rated 18, before 10pm
    4. Channels you’ve chosen to lock
    5. Channels that broadcast shows rated PG-18 before 9pm
    6. Any adult channels

However, it is recommended this PIN is changed promptly after set up.

With Virgin Media TV, you can:

    • change purchase controls,
    • hide adult channels,
    • lock and unlock channels,
    • change settings for PIN checks on recordings.
